Linking Words
Using Linking Words
The umbrella term "linking words" covers/includes various kinds of words that show the relationship between two or more ideas (with those ideas beings expressed in words, phrases, clauses, sentences, or paragraphs). Structurally, linking words link/join/connect two or more ideas that are expressed in words, phrases, clauses, sentences, or paragraphs. We use linking words to build (construct or configure or make (the structure of)) ideas by connecting the different parts of the ideas. Linking words can be used at the beginning of a sentence; in the middle of a sentence; or, in rare cases, at the end of a sentence. |
