We will use practices and tools including "Deep Listening & Loving Speech"
(https://plumvillage.app/the-fourth-mindfulness-training-deep-listening-and-loving-speech/) and the U of Theory U to venture forth with an open mind, an open heart, and an open will. March-April Note: Once scheduling is completed, exact dates will be provided along with (for some weeks) files, links, etc., that may be read, listened to, looked at, or watched and considered before each week's meeting. Week 1-2: Beginning (1st-2nd weeks of March): Sharing our availability, scheduling, making general inquiries, etc. Week 2-3: Meeting Up and Orienting Ourselves (2nd-3rd weeks of March) - General information briefly with Q&A - Getting to know each other - Sharing why we are participating, what we're curious about, and how we enjoy languages Week 4: Lingua Franca - Everyday Language (last week of March) What does "everyday language" mean to you? Share some examples from languages you speak. Week 5: Dance Dance Revolution Musical - Music, Movement, and Voice (end of March-beginning of April) What do you feel when you listen to this song? (freestyling, singing along, and giving voice to how we feel) 1) "Zoo" by Shakira (English and Spanish) 2) TBA Week 6: Kongbu-Bang - Study Room (the 1st full week of April) What questions do you have about language structure? About pronunciation? What are some of the foundational elements to learning a language? Week 7: Parler Parlour - Discussion Time (the 2nd full week of April)) What is of value to us? What world do we want to participate in bringing into being and supporting? Week 8: Posture and Movement in Onenessing: What's Next? (the 3rd full week of April) Body knowledge (grounding and practices including Social Presencing Theatre, breathing meditation, walking meditation, and yoga) * INTERPLAYFUL is the second pilot project of The Learning Word's generative project model, the Honeycomb Community Project. |
