About The Learning Word

Hello, and welcome to The Learning Word!

In its infancy, The Learning Word seeks to participate in promoting cross-generational, inclusive community discussion and action locally, as well as nationally and internationally.

The Learning Word is starting off as a passion project toward participating in and promoting community-building. We hope that within the next couple years, The Learning Word will grow to include the voices of many contributors from diverse backgrounds writing in many different languages.

One of the initial goals of the Learning Word is to explore topics that are integral to well-being, growth, and community participation.  Through a focus on language, language devices, communication, and perspective-sharing, resources for language learners of all levels will accompany many of these explorations. We are currently planting and tending seeds for these resources, and these resources will become available as we continue to build capacity.

Content will be delivered in written form and eventually with audio and video as well, and will include discussion of contemporary media that promote and detract from well-being, growth, and community participation.

While this site is starting off in English, some content in French, Korean, and possibly other languages will be available in 2024.

Whether you are here out of curiosity and interest in well-being, growth, and community participation, or whether you are here because of an interest in language and communication, we hope you will come back regularly to watch this site grow.

Please come back again to see this site grow.
